In reference to the Customs Memorandum Order (CMOJ No. 04-2020 "Establishment of an Electronic Tracking of Containerized Cargo System (E-TRACC System) And Accreditation of a Service Provided for the Purpose," which was issued on 04 February 2020, all container vans are required to be affixed with Bureau of Customs (BOC) "Electronic Customs Seal". This is to monitor the movement and locations of containers from the starting port or Port of Discharge to the endpoint or Port of Destination. However, the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) received reports of delays of BOC personnel disarming the Electronic Customs Seals.
In this light, NMIS will conduct an online public consultation on the draft procedures for the conduct of second border inspection of imported meat arrivals with the BOC Electronic Tracking of Containerized Cargo System (E-TRACC) device. The online public consultation will run from 28 January 2022 to 27 February 2022. All stakeholders are enjoined to submit their comments, recommendations, and proposals on the draft guidelines by using the following Google Form Link or QR Code:( https://forms.gle/7oYE6qYHAxFiX8vV6 )
